‘Spider-Man 4’ is one of the most exciting MCU projects currently in development. The movie was made official more than a year ago, but it was only recently that we got the news that Destin Daniel Cretton will direct and that Zendaya and Holland will reprise their respective roles.
At this point, nothing is known about the movie except what we’ve already mentioned. According to early reports, the movie was supposed to be a street-level story that saw Spider-Man going up against Kingpin. This excited a lot of fans considering that Kingpin is about to break the city in ‘Daredevil: Born Again.’
Ultimately, the latest rumors are that ‘Spider-Man 4’ will not be a street-level story. With Kang the Conqueror out of the picture and Rober Downey Jr.’s Doom being the new villain, it seems that the upcoming Spider-Man flick will be a multiversal story.
We’ve heard various rumors regarding the potential villains, with the latest rumor being that Knull, set to debut in ‘Venom: The Last Dance’ will serve as the main villain. Nothing has been heard about to story though.
Now in his latest Rich Roll interview, the actor somewhat confirmed that the movie will be multiversal in nature.
We’re working now, pedal is to the metal, we’re trying to get it going as soon as possible…but there’s still a lot of moving pieces that need to come together for us to hit the ground running.

Those moving pieces are likely other projects, that were either delayed or changed with the Downey announcement that now need to be updated and made to fit into an already confusing timeline of events.
