Ultron’s Form in ‘Vision’ Is Uncertain, But a Human Form Could Unleash Terrifying New Possibilities

It’s been a few weeks since it was announced that James Spader, the voice of Ultron in the MCU will reprise his role in the upcoming ‘Vision’ show. ‘Vision’ will focus on White Vision following his escape from Westview, and apparently, a human assassin played by Todd Stashwick will be hunting him down.

The exact plot of the show is still under wraps, but we do know that it will focus on White Vision’s existential journey.

As far as Ultron goes, we don’t know how and why he will return, but as The Hollywood Reporter reports, it’s unknown whether the supervillain will return in his human or robot form. Considering the emphasis on existential themes of the show, we need to prepare for the option of Ultron returning as human.

In the comics, Ultron’s human form is a rare and unique concept that has been explored in a few storylines. Typically, Ultron is known as a powerful, highly intelligent artificial intelligence in a robotic body, created by Hank Pym with the intent of helping humanity, only to turn against his creator and humanity itself. However, there have been instances where Ultron has taken on a more human-like appearance or form.

The best thing is, since in the MCU, Ultron was created by Tony Stark, this would open up a perfect opportunity for RDJ to return to the MCU – as Ultron. How? Read on to find out.

During the ‘Rage of Ultron’ storyline, Ultron manages to merge his consciousness with Hank Pym, resulting in a hybrid being that possesses both the physical appearance of Pym and the consciousness of Ultron. This fusion leads to a new, highly conflicted version of Ultron known as “Ultron Pym.” The result is a being that has the appearance of Hank Pym but with a body that is a mix of human and robotic elements.

This version of Ultron struggles with the duality of its existence. At times, the Pym side of the fusion appears to feel guilt and remorse, while Ultron’s side is more ruthless and logical. This inner conflict makes “Ultron Pym” a highly unpredictable character.

Imagine Ultron returning as RDJ’s Tony Stark in the MCU? Emotionally manipulating the Avengers through familiar form?

In some stories, Ultron’s obsession with humanity leads him to take a variety of human or pseudo-human forms, all eventually descend into chaos, and it’s quite possible that Ultron if he returns in human form, will use to exert some kind of dominance over Vision – who he still considers his son.

Human Ultron is far more dangerous than his robotic counterpart due to his ability to blend in with humans, all the while plotting their doom. There’s a weirdly deceptive spin to this form that would possibly make our heroes sympathize with Ultron, all the while he finds new means to destroy and hate inferior humanity.

Ultron might find himself in human form accidentally, which would lead him to backlash over inferior beings.
