‘Fantastic Four: First Steps‘ is one of the most anticipated MCU releases. The movie is bound to be released on July 25, 2025, and it’s currently being filmed at Pinewood Studios in London.

We know that the movie will be set in alternate reality and it’s going to introduce both Fantastic Four and some of the most notable villains from their rouges gallery to the cinematic universe.

The main cast has been known for a while now, Pedro Pascal will be starring as Mr. Fantastic alongside Vanessa Kirby’s Sue Storm. Joseph Quinn will be taking on the role of Johnny Storm aka Human Torch with Ebon Moss-Bachrach starring as Ben Grimm aka the Thing.

The Thing is also one aspect of the movie that fans are looking forward to the most since the character is really hard to adapt due to his unique appearance. If you go overboard with prosthetics and makeup it can look extremely cheap, and if you go full CGI, it has the potential to backfire and be extremely expensive.

Now recently, footage from the set has been leaked and it showcases that MCU’s Ben Grimm will indeed have prosthetics and costume. The footage seems to be taken right at the moment when the actor’s (or body double’s) costume was being adjusted:

Bachrach jokingly said a few weeks ago that he has been studying rocks for the role, and now we’re not so sure that he was entirely joking as plenty of care went into the costume. The character will most likely be “fixed up” with VFX during the final phases of the production, but so far, it looks extremely good and comic-accurate. The majority of the fans naturally agreed:
