‘WandaVision’ is one of the highest-rated Disney+ shows. The original and unique approach to Wanda’s post-blip life and emotional trauma was well-received by the fans, and some of the characters introduced during the shows inevitably got their own spinoffs. White Vision project has been in the works for some time now, with rumors about the Wiccan show also resurfacing in recent times.
However, one of the most hype-worthy projects appears to be ‘Agatha: Darkhold Diaries’ focusing on WandaVision villain, scheduled to release sometime in 2024. Recently, a teaser dropped, and we keep hearing a lot of details about the plot and the Witches’ Road, but among all these details, the main one seems to be whether Wanda will make an appearance in ‘Agatha,’ albeit a small one.
Asif Ali, who played Norm in WandaVision, confirmed her appearance in a now-deleted Instagram comment. When a fan asked whether she would appear, he wrote simply, “Yes!” but has since deleted that.
Following Asif’s statement, Scarlet Witch Updates went to Twitter to once again confirm that Wanda won’t be featured in the upcoming show in any measure.
Agatha was a huge part of Wanda’s journey to self-discovery of her identity as a Scarlet Witch, even if the two of them didn’t end on good terms. However, the same cannot be said about Agatha, who was practicing witchery long before Wanda was born, so it makes sense that her own personal story doesn’t feature Wanda, no matter how much we would like to see her return to the MCU.
However, the fact is, Asif’s statement perhaps wasn’t all that wrong. Wanda might still be featured in a flashback.
Wanda’s current status within the MCU is unknown. She used her powers to destroy the Castle, breaking the Scarlet Witch statue and destroying every copy of the Darkhold throughout the Multiverse. As she did, the Castle began to crumble and collapse on her, and she was presumably dead since the conclusion of ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.’
This seems like such a weird sendoff for one of the most powerful characters in the MCU and one of the most important ones, and fans are convinced that this can’t be the end for Wanda, but all we have to substantiate that are rumors, especially now that her death has been confirmed with Official Marvel Timeline Book.
