In recent years, Marvel’s Multiverse has expanded with fresh Spider-Man and Symbiote characters through series like Edge of Spider-Verse and Venomverse. Each character comes with their own jaw-dropping story, and now even more are set to debut this March and April in Web of Spider-Verse: New Blood and Web of Venomverse: Fresh Brains.
These two special issues will explore the origins and adventures of new Multiverse heroes and villains. Writers Mat Groom and Luciano Vecchio, joined by Kyle Higgins, will set the stage for Spider-Verse vs. Venomverse, a five-part series where Spiders and Symbiotes clash in a Multiverse-shaking showdown.
Get ready to meet a bloodthirsty Spider-Man, a Symbiote protector with a hunger for brains, and others, all brought to life by Vecchio’s designs. These characters will play key roles in the epic battles ahead.
It all kicks off with Web of Spider-Verse: New Blood #1 (releasing March 5). Spider-Man and his allies, protectors of the Web of Life and Destiny, face off against their Symbiote rivals from the Venomverse.
Along the way, you’ll be introduced to three new Spider characters: Count Parker, Spider-Prowler, and Spider-Hulk, with stories by Groom, Vecchio, Jordan Morris, Greg Pak, Sumit Kumar, Alan Robinson, and Chris Eliopoulos.
Then, in Web of Venomverse: Fresh Brains #1 (releasing April 2), the Symbiotes prepare to defend their Hive-Mind from the Spider-Verse in an eight-legged battle for survival. Meet three new Symbiote characters: the sneaky Venomouse, the chaotic Katie Power, and a reimagined Eddie Brock.
This issue features work from Groom, Vecchio, Erica Schultz, Chris Allen, Dylan Burnett, Juan José Ryp, Chris Eliopoulos, and Marvel newcomer David Dastmalchian.
