In the final moments of ‘The Penguin’ Season 1, Sofia Falcone receives a mysterious letter while being held in Arkham Asylum. The letter was sent by Selina Kyle who we know is the daughter of late Carmine Falcone, confirming that Selina is actually Sofia’s half-sister.

This sets up one potentially highly exciting team-up between Sofia and Selina. Milioti who portrayed Sofia Falcone wonderfully in the show already confirmed that she would love to team up with Catwoman claiming that the duo would “tear shit up.

I mean, it’s my wildest hope that I get to revisit her, because I’ve loved this role so immensely. It’s like, one of my favorite things I’ve ever gotten to do, and I’m just obsessed with her. And I think if [Sofia and Selina Kyle] were united, we would just really tear shit up. I don’t know how to say it… We would just like, burn it down. You know what I mean? In a fun way. I think we’d have a lot of fun.

Ever since that finale, fans have been hoping that perhaps Catwoman’s solo project is on the way. Reeves did hint several weeks ago that new spinoffs are being developed, and a significant amount of fans would love it if that spinoff was centered on Selina Kyle.

Especially in light of that mysterious letter in ‘The Penguin’ finale. However, it seems that fans will have to wait a bit longer to see this project come to fruition.

HBO and Max CEO Casey Bloys stated that there are no plans for a Selina Kyle/Catwoman series. Instead, discussions are focused on whether there will be another story involving Oz.

However, he mentioned that Matt Reeves needs to finish ‘The Batman II’ first before moving forward with any new projects. Bloys expressed hope that Reeves and ‘Penguin’ showrunner Lauren LeFranc will find an exciting direction for the story.

We’ve been talking mostly about: Is there another story with The Penguin?[…]I have to let him get that movie set up and moving. But [Matt and Penguin showrunner Lauren LeFranc] work really well together, so hopefully they’ll find something that they think is exciting.

Oz is already confirmed to appear in ‘The Batman: Part II,’ and according to some rumors, Sofia will play a bigger part as well. We don’t know whether this will bring her in connection to Catwoman however as this type of plot seems perfect for a miniseries.
