‘Wolverine: Revenge’ Just Settled Wolverine vs. Colossus Debate Forever – in the Most Tragic Way Imaginable

Hickman and Capullo are smack in the middle of the new Wolverine series aptly titled Wolverine: Revenge. Wolverine faces a lineup of enemies that push him to his limits. After being beaten and bloodied, Logan is set on one thing: revenge.
The latest issue sees Wolverine coming face-to-face with Colossus. Colossus tries to talk Logan out of fighting, but they end up in a brawl anyway. After defeating enemies like Mastermind, Sabretooth, Omega Red, and Deadpool, Wolverine confronts Colossus in Russia.
Wolverine asks Colossus why he betrayed the X-Men to join the Brotherhood, and Colossus explains that he did it to protect his family in Russia.
Wolverine insists that the X-Men were also Colossus’s family, but Colossus responds that being friends wasn’t enough. This exchange is heartbreaking, showing Colossus’s strong loyalty to his family and how the X-Men were the closest thing Wolverine ever had to a real family.
Though Colossus tries to talk him out of a fight, they end up battling fiercely, with Colossus landing some strong hits and even ripping off Wolverine’s arm.
In the end, Wolverine wins by stabbing Colossus through the head, then reattaches his own arm and buries Colossus, marking the grave with an “X”.
Even though Colossus is strong and manages to hurt Wolverine, nothing can stand against Wolverine’s healing factor and it was honestly never a fight that Colossus could win.
The next issue of ‘Wolverine: Revenge’ #4 lands on January 22, 2025. The synopsis is as follows:
“AN EYE FOR AN EYE! Time has passed since WOLVERINE’S quest for vengeance began. But as an eye for an eye escalates through the years, revenge becomes a FAMILY AFFAIR! And this is going to be one HELL of a reunion! A shocking development in Hickman and Capullo’s saga of the Wolverine that must be experienced to be believed!”
