‘X-Men ’97’ was a massive success for the studio, the show premiered with 100 % on Rotten Tomatoes and the critical opinion of both the fans and critics was that it’s a faithful adaptation of the original ‘X-Men: The Animated Series’ which aired back in the ’90s.

The creators aimed to recreate both the original characters, and the original animation to a reasonable extent of course, and the best part, a good part of old voice actors returned to reprise their roles. This also included keeping the old costumes that our favorite mutant team had.

Now according to some reports, notably, CanWeGetSomeToast, a popular leaker and scooper with a good track record, the show will introduce new costumes for the team by the end of the season.

Some fans welcomed the rumor, while some criticized Disney for simply wanting to sell more toys. Throughout their history, the X-Men have sported a range of costumes. Their journey began with the classic blue and gold uniforms in the 1960s. As time passed, the individualized costumes appeared, and the team expanded to include international members each bringing something new to the table.

The general consensus however among the fans is that keeping the current suits would be ideal.

‘X-Men ’97’ only recently started airing, the finale scheduled to be released on May 15th, the show was already renewed for a second and third season, with the second season already being in production and the third season being in early development.
