Tye Sheridan portrayed Scott Summers/Cyclops in ‘X-Men: Apocalypse,’ ‘Deadpool 2’ and ‘X-Men: Dark Phoenix.’
As the X-Men are coming to the MCU after ‘Avengers: Secret Wars,’ we are still waiting to hear whether old X-Men actors will reprise their roles or if a new set of actors will join the MCU.
For now, we saw Patrick Stewart reprise his role as Charles Xavier in ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ (although that was a variation of Charles, not the one from the Fox X-Men movie).
Then we saw Beast in the mid-credits scene of ‘The Marvels’ (played by Kelsey Grammer, who also appeared as Hank in ‘X-Men: The Last Stand’ and ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past.’)
Most recently, of course, we’ve seen many X-Men appear in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine.’ Hugh Jackman reprised his role as Logan, and Brianna Hildebrand reprised her role from ‘Deadpool’ and ‘Deadpool 2’ as Negasonic Teenage Warhead. We also saw Colossus, Shatterstar, X-23, and, of course, Gambit.
One of the X-Men who has yet to appear is Scott Summers. The character was previously played by James Marsden (‘X-Men’, ‘X2: X-Men United’, ‘X-Men: The Last Stand’), Tim Pocock (X-Men Origins: Wolverine), and Tye Sheridan, who played young Scott in ‘X-Men: Apocalypse,’ Deadpool 2′, and ‘X-Men: Dark Phoenix’.
The buzz about who will play the character is high, as fans online are voting for both Tye and Marsden to reprise the role of the X-Man. The former recently addressed his potential return to the MCU. And although his answer isn’t quite optimistic, he didn’t explicitly close the door on his Cyclops return:
I don’t know. I don’t think there’s a question if there’s more stories to tell. I think there’s probably always more stories to tell. The question is whether audiences have a desire for those stories and whether we feel like those types of films have been oversaturated or they’re not, or if there’s a new way to make those films. But yeah, I’m not real sure.

From this, we can conclude that Marvel Studios didn’t reach out to Tye regarding his MCU future (or he just can’t talk about it). But, for those who would like to see him as Cyclops again, it’s good he didn’t close the door on it.
If Marvel decides they want him back, they will probably put the money on the table, and there’s a good chance we could see Tye playing Cyclops again.
