Yahya Abdul-Mateen II to Lead Thrilling ‘Ghostman’ Series in New Sony TV Deal

Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, known for his roles in Watchmen and Aquaman, has signed a multi-year first-look deal with Sony Pictures Television. Through this deal, Abdul-Mateen and his production company, House Eleven10, will create scripted drama series for streaming and cable.

The first project under this deal is an adaptation of the novel Ghostman by Roger Hobbs. In the series, Abdul-Mateen will play the title role, a man who specializes in making things disappear. After a failed casino heist, he has 48 hours to fix the situation while being hunted by someone who wants him dead.

Abdul-Mateen expressed his excitement about the partnership, praising the team at Sony and sharing his vision of creating bold, creative stories. House Eleven10, which he founded in 2021, will produce the series.

Abdul-Mateen is no stranger to success. He has won an Emmy for his role in Watchmen and starred in several major films and series, including The Trial of The Chicago 7, Candyman, and The Handmaid’s Tale.
